Kasaba Bay lies on the Lake Tanganyika shore inside Nsumbu National Park, and its airport is the way most visitors reach this corner of Zambia. The shoreline here runs to sandy beaches and sheltered coves, backed by the park.

Lake Tanganyika holds more than 350 species of fish, and the bay is a base for angling on it — goliath tigerfish and Nile perch among the draws. The Tanganyika Angling Challenge is held in February and March.
